This month I have uploaded the fourth "chapter" of my writeup of our history. Click on the Mission and History button, and then the history button on that page.  Please let me know if you have any additions or corrections.  This is an ongoing project, and we will revise chapters as new information is available. Many thanks to all the photographers, especially members Bob Roth and Bruce Carter.

The Santa Fe Railway Historical and Modeling Society's annual meeting is in Albuquerque, NM, this year (June 26-30).  A short hop from Amarillo.

Everyone, please mark you calendars! The 16th of May is our election meeting.  President, VP/Secretary, and Treasurer positions are on the ballot.  As with a number of organizations, leadership is critical.  Our current officers are doing a great job, but fresh leaders are always welcome.  VP/Secretary, Bob Roth, has indicated that he'll not be running.  Bob has served as President, VP and Treasurer for a long time, and has been integral to our success.  He is asking for and deserves a well-earned break. If you have an interest in leading the Museum into the future, please let any board member know. The positions are not overwhelming, and there are a lot of folks to help you along.

Great news! The ARM cleared the first hurdle in its attempt to get funding from the Texas Historical Commission for repair of the White Train Guard-Escort roofs.  Alex Shane came to the museum to do a site visit, and was enthusiastic about our plans. We will submit a full proposal in July.
