We are making some changes. It may seem like a bit of downsizing, but all the essentials will remain.  No changes to the Company Store (other than announcing new merchandise), all the currently uploaded history and information will remain.  The Forum will disappear and the lead in photo won't change very often.  We get little to no messages, request for information, etc. If anyone does want to ask a question, the best wat is to send an email directly to us via info@amarillorailmuseum.com. I've began a bi-weekly email summary after our Saturday work days, and if you'd like to get added to the group send an email.

But there is some big news to mention!

The Scale Trains Agrium (FURX) hopper arrived a few days ago.  The are fabulous! I knew Scale Trains did a great job, but seeing the actual model was breathtaking! We've packed and shipped the pre-orders.  This is a limited run, so check them out in the Company Store.

We finally got all the details worked out for the Virgil Doyle Endowment.  The account is nearly complete.  This will be a lasting legacy for our dear friend and one of the founders.  The ARM's future is now almost set in stone!  More on this, and ways to donate will come soon.

Director Bruce Carter has stepped down and we will elect a temporary director at the business meeting October 24th.  A director will be elected at the annual business meeting in May.  If any member in good standing would like to be considered for te temporary position, drop us an email.

Air conditioning was installed this summer in the meeting room.  Now we can relax in comfort during those hot summer days.  The layout room still relies on its insulation for protection.  Even on days when the outside temperature soars past 100 degrees, a member can still work in there, but it will most likely be in the low 80's.  With the fans running, it all works out.

I will upload the remaining chapters of the history in a few days.  Has anyone read any of it?  I have received no comments.

Finally, there is going to be some G-scale/Phillip Pratt Memorial Garden Railway projects in the near future.  The plans are being developed, and it looks like an expansion will happen.  If anyone likes outdoor railroad in the "BIG" scale, and would like to get involved, contact us.
